Publicis Imagine is a custom-built team for Disney created with one purpose in mind – to be Disney’s most valuable partner in creating the next era of entertainment. The team falls under the umbrella of Publicis Media and is dedicated to Disney’s lines of business:

  • Disney Entertainment (Disney+, Studios, Media Networks),
  • Disney Experiences (Parks and Cruises, Consumer Products)

The Publicis Imagine team has been designed to be simple, agile and connected, with access to the latest innovations in media to accelerate Disney’s growth around the world, Data is at the core of Publicis Imagine’s offering. We enable this by uncovering data-driven insights that inform marketing, creative messaging and media decisions.

Sitting within our Disney Entertainment team, the UK Disney+ team oversee and plan campaigns for some of the biggest streaming releases each and every year, from ‘Shogun’ to ‘The Kardashians’. This team are also responsible for critical Brand campaigns to develop and evolve audience’s understanding of Disney+.

Job Description

Publicis Imagine is now looking for a new Strategy Director to work on one of the newest and most exciting parts of the Walt Disney Company, their streaming service Disney+. This is an opportunity to work with Disney+ on driving growth in the UK and to be part of a team changing the face of entertainment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the main strategic point of contact for the client, providing informed, insightful and authoritative consultancy.
  • Developing and deploying annual strategies, demonstrating data led thinking, and considering Paid Owned and Earned touchpoints.
  • Collaborate closely with Planning, Investment, Audience & Insights, Offline and Digital teams in the UK and EMEA regional team.
  • Manage the team in using research tools to help support in strategic campaign responses.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of client business from current and historical perspectives.
  • Ensure that all projects and deliverables and met on time and to the highest standard.
  • Be an active participant in helping build the Publicis Imagine team and culture, working across different LOB briefs, brainstorms and plenty of chances to collaborate across the Disney account and on future Zynga gaming projects.
  • Be a point of connection with the wider Publicis Imagine strategy team, sharing information, insights, and being a source of collaboration.
  • Oversee and drive the integration of campaign learnings into planning and strategy to develop and evolve the work.
  • Maintaining media playbooks and planning bibles, ensuring they reflect the current approach and strategic direction of the client.
  • Excellent presentation skills and an ability to present complex topics in a clear and concise manner to those in non-expert roles.
  • Effective and persuasive communication skills to align client and agency teams.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, able to work in a fast paced environment and juggle multiple projects and tasks at once.
  • Useful but not critical: Knowledgeable about The Walt Disney Company and entertainment.

CRITICAL SKILLS

  • Exceptional strategic skills, and ability to form clear narratives with data
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be dealing with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to think critically and challenge / question assumptions to ensure the best possible delivery for your client
  • Analytical abilities, use a broad range of analytical approaches and techniques, being able to translate data into useful learnings and clear actions
  • Good knowledge of digital and other media
  • Excel and PPT experience mandatory

SUCCESS CRITERIA

  • Very good or above client evaluation scores
  • 360 and other feedback on communications, collaboration and internal / external relationships
  • Other success criteria to be defined once position is assumed and will align to near, mid and long terms goals for the business

Qualifications

  • 6+ years’ experience in a media agency, preferably in a local market strategy role.
  • Great client management with clear communication skills.
  • Used to dealing with senior clients who are experts in brand marketing.
  • Collaborative mindset and approach.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, with an ability to carve a path through it and form a plan.
  • Confident working with data and using data to tell a story.
  • Self-starter - you will have the energy to kick start projects yourself and define the path for the team.
