ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, GLOBAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Job Description

As Associate Director within the Global Business Development Operation team, you will lead and drive Operational workstreams to support our global business development efforts. This position involves operational strategic oversight, process improvement, and cross-regional coordination to ensure our pitches are executed efficiently. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a strong background in business development operations, capable of managing complex projects and driving innovation and efficiency within the team.

Pitch Management and Execution

· Lead in the completion of RFIs, sourcing and populating data, and working with our markets for bespoke data needs to deliver top-quality responses.

· Support the completion of RFPs by sourcing and repurposing relevant content, formatting, and proofreading.

· Assist Business Development leads with the creation of presentation content and formatting of slides.

· Manage pitches throughout their full lifecycle ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes, including setting up pitch folders, Teams channels, creating timing/project plans, diarising key meetings, managing workstreams, content development, proofreading, overall logistics, and close-out processes.

· Collaborate with Pitch Experience Leads to plan and execute various meeting scenarios, including virtual, hybrid, and in-person.

Operational Oversight and Process Enhancement

· Provide leadership and drive the pitch process, ensuring best practices and consistency across all regions.

· Identify, propose, and implement new collaboration tools to improve the Global Business Development Team's efficiency.

· Advocate for and integrate AI tools, such as ChatGPT, into pitch workstreams where appropriate such as image sourcing and writing biographies.

Data Management and Reporting

· Use Monday.com to log our active pipeline, capturing key milestones to support resource planning.

· Work closely with the reporting team to manage Salesforce records for active opportunities, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

· Oversee market and competitor research, using industry sources such as COMvergence, RECMA, and other third-party sources.

· Facilitate the post-pitch process, ensuring thorough documentation of key learnings and resource sharing by Business Development leads.

Collaboration and Relationship Building

· Partner with the Design team and pitch leads to develop high-quality pitch collateral and ensure its effective distribution across markets, managing workstreams, and ensuring the correct templates, logos, and fonts are used throughout the process.

· Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the Business Development Community and Local Market contacts to support cohesive operations.

· Identify topics to share in our monthly team connects to support knowledge building and team development.

Qualifications

· 4 years+  experience in the Advertising Industry (Media, Creative, or Production) or in an operational role in a different industry sector, with a track record of leadership.

· Proven project management expertise, with a strong ability to deliver complex projects on time and to a high standard.

· Excellent analytical skills, able to interpret data and provide actionable insights.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, SharePoint, PPT, Excel, and Word).

· Experience with Salesforce and other CRM systems is highly advantageous.
